Firstly let's explain the term stationary bicycle, because it isn't correct. "Bicycle" means that the machine has two spinning wheels, which in the case of fitness exercise bikes cannot be said. Anyway, it is more properly for indoor stationary trainers to be called exercise bikes (rather than bicycles). We mentioned this because many people use this wrong term without knowing the difference.

The Polo M combines attractive styling with great performance. The sturdy, high carbon steel frame comes with a lifetime warranty. Obviously it is built to last. This model doesn't come from China, but it is a truly "Made in Germany" product.

Kettler equipped this exercise bike with Magnetic-Brake System™ with infinitely variable resistance settings indexed 1-10 (from beginners through world class athletes). It comes with balanced 15.4 pound flywheel.

The handlebars can be rotated to almost any angle one could wish. Heart rate can be measured in three ways: Telemetric hand grips or by using the optional infrared earlobe clip sensor or Cardio Pulse Set with POLAR® T-34 wireless heart rate chest strap transmitter and receiver (infrared ear clip heart rate ear sensor included). The computer includes a recovery feature which provides a grading a cardio wellness grading indexed 1 to 6 helping to track improvement.

High resolution LCD display provides the following work out data: Speed, RPM, Distance, Time, Energy Consumption, and Pulse Rate. It rotates various data to the larger digital readout in the center of the display.

All in all, this is an excellent quality bike for home use. It even looks nice so you don't have to hide it under the bed or in the closet, as is often the case with some other "cheaper" brands. However, after many years on the market, it is a little outdated. For approximate same amount of money, you can buy much better, modern and sturdy bike from Diamondback Fitness. It could be the 510ub upright bike, for instance, which comes with an industry leading warranty.
