This means it can be set such that your heart rate reading automatically adjusts the resistance level. Heart rate can be measured via the telemetric hand grip sensors, via the optional wireless chest strap transmitter or via the optional infrared ear clip sensor. The computer is also preloaded with 8 programs that adjustable intensity of 16 resistance levels. An informative blue back-lit LCD displays: Time, Speed, Total distance, RPM, Energy consumption and Heart Rate.

In addition to comfort, Kettler engineers did not forget technical features. The Giro R is equipped with a heavy 17.6 pound flywheel, while the Poly "V" drive belt yields silent operation.
