The v390 Semi Recumbent exercise bike is a brand new model in the Smooth Fitness recumbent series. Many of our readers were confused by Smooth's differentiation of categories in recumbent and semi-recumbent bikes. In fact, the difference is very minor. It concerns to the seating position. In a semi-recumbent bikes it promotes the rider to a vertical back position with the bulk of the weight being supported by the saddle. Also, it offers the comfort of a recumbent bike and the benefit of an upright bike, as well as a laid-back reclining position, distributing comfort over a larger area, supporting your back.

The Smooth V390 comes with a breathable mesh back seat offering ultra support while working out. It offers an ergonomic design with a wide padded, adjustable seat (height, distance and angle) for multiple user heights and an additional back pad adjustment for maximum comfort.

The console features a nice designed backlit LCD display which is wonderfully clear and easy to read. It tracks your time, speed, distance, program, resistance, course profile, pulse, and calories burned. There are 16 preloaded programs including preset and manual programs, custom courses, body fat test and heart rate programs that adjust the bike’s resistance to keep a constant heart rate.
