ProForm 315 CSX Recumbent Bike Review
The ProForm 315 CSX is an indoor training bike packed on a commercial-grade recumbent frame. It is produced by ICON Fitness, the largest factory of fitness equipment in the world, today. They also own several other brands including NordicTrack, HealthRider and more. While we were doing this review, we couldn't help but notice how much similarities there are between the NordicTrack GX 4.5 and ProForm 315 CSX exercise bike. It looks more like the GX 4.5 is an upgraded version of the 315 CSX, hence ProForm has a lower price.
The ProForm 315 CSX recumbent bike features advanced SMR™ Silent Magnetic Resistance with belt drive system allowing 12 resistance levels. Along with 20 preloaded workout programs, it also comes with iFit compatible console (unfortunately, the wireless adapter sold separately). The iFit technology allows you to draw a course through Google maps and the bike's resistance automatically adjusts to match the terrain. You have the option to compete with other riders who also use the iFit technology worldwide, as well. If you prefer to exercise alone with the coach, there is an option to workout with Jillian Michaels. Her voice coaches you throughout the entire weight-loss program.
The 315 CSX features an iPod / mp3 compatible console. You can simply plug your device into the audio system and listen to music through two bulit-in speakers. Other features include bottle holder and heart rate sensors built in the adjustable non-slip handlebars. A computer display tracks your time, distance, speed, pulse and calories.
The 315 CSX WARRANTY is really poor. It covers:

- Parts:90 Days
- Labor:90 Days
Drawbacks: Although it is covered with a five year warranty on frame, the factory provides a 90 day warranty on parts. It is likely to be a marketing ploy, because you can pay extra for an extended warranty
Conclusion: A pretty good bike for home use. At the price, it could be one of the first choices. However, you can get much better quality bike if you go with Diamondback or Sole Fitness, for instance.
Where to Buy ProForm exercise bikes at Best Price
Given that the ProForm business policy is to sell the fitness equipment through large retail chains, expectedly the official website is not the cheapest place to buy a ProForm exercise bike. The best buying conditions you will find at Amazon. However, from time to time, Sears also offers this brand at affordable prices.
